Posted on Sunday Feb 28 0:00:00 UTC 2010 As Sophia Loren once said ... Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical. Eye makeup can change your appearance and give you a totally different look and feel for the day. There are no hard and fast rules for applying eye makeup but here are some tips you may find helpful. Use a maximum of three colours when applying eyeshadow. A light colour across your eyelid close to the brow bone, a medium colour across and below your eyelid, with the darker colour close to the eye lashes. Before applying any eyeliner make sure that it will compliment the eyeshadow you are wearing and choose an appropriate colour to enhance your eyes. To make those lashes really stand out why not mix your mascara. A coat of lengthening mascara followed by a thickening mascara is a combination used by many makeup artists.
To prevent clumping of your mascara if you apply 2 coats make sure the second coat is applied before the first coat dries. If you are only applying one coat closing your eyes, placing the wand on top of your lashes and pulling it gently through them will help prevent clogging. Your mascara will last longer if you avoid pumping the wand in and out of it, as this introduces air into the tube. |
